The Weekly Accountability Questions I Give Every Client

The Weekly Accountability Questions I Give Every Client

July 01, 20262 min read

You’ll never out-earn your self-esteem — so start every week by counting your wins.

Most weeks don’t go sideways on the Wednesday — they go sideways because they were never set up at the start. Here’s the short ritual my clients and I use to begin every week focused. We call it Power Up the Week.

The core idea

I wanted to share the questions, because they’re good ones — the kind that quietly make you a better business owner. Some clients prefer to do them on a Monday, some on a Friday. Either works.

1. What are your top three wins for the week? We start here on purpose — reflecting on your wins builds confidence, and you’ll never out-earn your self-esteem.

2. What was your biggest lesson this week? It’s the accumulation of lessons that makes you a better business owner.

3. What would you like to improve next week? Did you need to rest more, hydrate more, say no more, focus more?

4. Did you meet your sales target? That presupposes you set one — and a lot of owners don’t. Where your focus goes, it grows, so a weekly sales target is worth considering.

5. What are your top three goals for next week? One is always a sales goal; the others might be one personal and one business, or two business.

6. What might get in the way of those goals, and how will you manage it? This is where we gently spot where we might self-sabotage.

7. On a scale of one to ten, how do you feel about the week ahead? A measurement, without judgment.

8. What would make it a ten? This usually surfaces the thing that really needs to happen.

9. Do you have any questions for me?

My clients fill this in every single week. If they don’t, they get a gentle chase from me or from Nes — because where your focus goes, it grows, and it’s all about starting every week focused.
